Bare shelves covered the store.
"Come in," he said. "Come in and do whatever you wanna do. You want a fish? You want a comic book? Help yourself."
He curved both of his hands and picked up something. "How about this?" he said. He shook his hands back and forth and smiled. "It's a snowglobe," he said.
Anybody want a hammer?
He opened a small jewelery box. "This is a love letter from her."
"Most nights I close up at seven o'clock."
